Peter B Collins, noted veteran liberal talk host on the new KRXA-AM 540/CarmelValley/Monterey/Salinas/SantaCruz, is now on Bicoastal's KGOE-AM 1480 Eureka, Ca. I'm not sure when this occurred as I heard the show on-line earlier this week. There's also a new 1-800 number for listeners on the North Coast and elsewhere. I have not located an on-line newspaper article or any additional info. Humboldt County to my understanding is very liberal and KGOE-AM currently has Hartmann and Miller.

Wasn't the IE America Radio Network with Malloy/Hartmann/Collins/Skinner originally on KGOE-AM?

Never heard of him

Sounds like this "news" belongs on a regional board.

Peter B. Collins was on Sirius until this recent venture started. He's afternoon driver and program director of KRXA/540, one of two libtalkers in the Monterey/Salinas/Santa Cruz market.

He's known in the San Francisco Bay Area for his radio stints there. I believe he was once on KSFO/560 before it turned into a conservative talker.

As for the topic at hand, I don't know if there's any effort to distribute his show beyond Monterey and Eureka/Arcata. The latter market has some history as a simulcast market...the very station Collins is on - KGOE - used to be a 24/7 repeater for San Francisco talk powerhouse KGO/810. In fact, that's where the call letters come from.

I don't think there's a regional board for Eureka. In fact Eureka is not even a radio market. It is in "white area." that means it is outside all markets.
