Peter B. Collins

Peter B. Collins, a veteran Northern California broadcaster was having a hard time finding distrubution for his daily talk show. He tried streaming on the internet for awhile and even did fill-in work for Ed Schultz on Air America. Finally, what he did was buy a station -- KXRA in Monterey-Salinas. You can now hear Peter daily from 3 pm to 6 pm. KRXA is one of about a dozen liberal talk radio that does not feature any Air American talent. AAR has an affiliate -- KOMY -- in the small Monterey-Salinas market.

Now you can downloand an archive of Peter's daily show on the White Rose Society's website at http://www.whiterosesociety.org/Collins.html

He's not my favorite lib talk host, but I think his show has some distribution potential. He's an experienced radio guy with a great voice and knows his politics. Like Peter Werbe, Peter B's biggest problem is that he's a little too nice and you know what they say about nice guys.
______________

Peter B's strong points are not necessarily politics. I think when he's on a political show he's a little hard pressed. He can be very entertaining and personable just as an interactive talk radio host, the politics should come second.
______________
