Nobody believed me when I told you about the Red Sox leaving WCRN months ago. Now it is time for the other shoe to drop. The Carberry's loyalty to Peter Blute is running out, and revenues are way down. WAY DOWN (costing us more to run the station than we are making to tell the truth.)

Carter wants to know "Why are we paying 2 people to be on in the morning when no one is listening"

Hank solo 5-9am is not too far away. Bye Bye Teter, Bye Bye Peter Bye Bye Red Sox.

If that were to happen, the Carberry family would still be paying two salaries. If the station is in as bad financial shape as WCRiNsider hints, why would they give them separate shows? I have to admit that he has been right with his predictions up to this point.

It really is quite sad because their main competitor Clear Channel’s WTAG-AM 580 is a shadow of it’s former self. There was a time that you could count on WTAG to be the news voice in Central Massachusetts. Unfortunately now you find out more news in the blogs than you do with their mainly out of town voice tracked news.

If WCRN had some money for local shows, local news and promotion, they could likely give WTAG some real competition.

Yes. he does (or did), and with his usual class he had it framed and hung near the hallway so Blute could see it every day as he walked by.

In a famous incident, Blute's wife, who was, as they used to say, 'stacked' strolled by one day. stopped to look at the photo, and said "You call those t*** ?"

Thanks for that "titbit", T.S. (a word used by Elton in Goodbye Yellow Brick Road). Howie mentioned on air about the boat pic and also has said he has a pic of Dukakis in the tank ("he looks like Snoopy"--Jerry Williams) with the caption Tanks For Nothing
