Hi There:
First off, I appreciate the managing editor getting in touch with me earlier regarding the unacceptability of my post, and I understand and accept why it was deleted. I apologize for my actions. I'm also sorry that the Roxette post needed to deleted as well, but I couldn't see the fairness at all with leaving one and not the other. I wasn't meaning to cause hard feelings.
I will repost, as per permission from the manging editor - not asking for copyrighted materials, only as to where I could contact someone to assist in my finding them, even for purchase.
I'm looking for the promo radio edit of "Sledgehammer" that some radio stations received. It was NEVER available commerically. It was a promo 7" and 12" record that had a 4:00 version the song.
The edit takes a bit of off the intro at the beginning, and it removes the "Gabrielese" improvisation. It is not on "So", or any of his greatest hits/singles packages, nor is it on the commercially available 7" vinyl disc.
The other was Jackos "Thriller" promo record. The version of this song that I'm seeking comes sans the Vincent Price rap. The "2003 Edit" has the exact beginning but keeps the rap.
Any help would be appreciated in finding these recordings, and getting them through whatever legal means or purchase as is necessary. That would be terrific.
Cheers,
Jody Thornton
