Petition To Take Glenn Beck Off KTTH

Kinda my thought too. But I also think this guy is so off the rails now, it wouldn't surprise me if Fox and/or his radio networks dropped him eventually.....

Wow - so much for free enterprise and free speech.

I feel you meant that sarcastically but this is a fine example of both free speech and free enterprise in action.

People are exercising their right to speak out against something they don't like and/or find objectionable. It's a backlash and backlashes are a big part of free speech.

And free enterprise is still in full force. It's completely up to the stations as to whether they choose to listen to this group of people or not. They very well may find that the upside still outweighs the negatives. There's nothing more American than that.

All I know is he's an eleventh rate Rush Limbaugh copycat. It doesn't matter to me if KTTH keeps Beck or not because I don't listen to KTTH. My guess is they do (ironically.) And they don't like it.

The bigger question is how much does something/someone have to suck before you start a petition to have it/them banned?

glen beck was dropped in new york several months ago, due to low ratings. his TV ratings have gone down by 33%, according to michael savage show the other day. listening to goof ball beck and his morning zoo crew sidekicks, is like listening to the lame TV patter between david letterman, and googley eyed band leader, paul schaeffer. need i say more! beck seems to be a man of many superficial radio voices. what voice we get depends on what shtick act hes jive'n us with during what segment. most of the time he gives us his "shock jockesque" tom leykis shtick voice. other times he gives us his soft spoken/pausing shtick act, if the subject matter fits. becks 'on air' zoo crew sidekicks, are the same master minds, who gave us his zoo crew music morning show years ago, before they decided to take on the next stunt, "hey, lets do politics".

in all my years of listening to and critiqueing talk radio, ive rarely heard worse. this is a shame, because much of the subject matter of glen becks talk is of vital importance. much of the important content of this show are just a pick and choose from alex jones/infowars.com, and regurgitated to the main stream radio masses in the same clownish, zoo crew style, beck and cronies gave us years ago.

Y'all know that all these petitions and boycotts do is call attention to the party involved, right?

It would be fair to say that Beck is the AntiChrist to the average Seattle liberalprogressive.

Nothing new with a form of media having a political slant.

Goes back to the founding of the Republic.

That and sour grapes from the politically left slant. The left-leaning didn't support the national nor local attempts to compete with right-wing radio political talk, so now they resort to lame on line pettitions? I don't listen to either, but it seems to me this only calls attention to Mr. Beck. The left need to stop repeating the same tactics of remove shoe, shoot foot.

ya right, guru, i knew we'd agree on something. several years ago, mt vernon, WA. celebrated and hosted a glen beck salute, who grew up there. the left wing nuts gave this so much attention, beck couldnt buy such publicity if bill gates financed it. in the mean time, much of liberal talk radio, and radio America, flounder in the ratings and/or go broke due to lack of support. my negative take on beck has to do with his 3rd rate talk radio talent, not his politics. like i just said in a prior post, much of becks subject matter is of vital importance right now. no, i wont be signing any stupid petition from "credo action", to get rid of beck on KTTH. but i will applaud it when and if they do eventually dump his a**, for better talent.

KTTH, could do better and hire a local produced/national talent like ex KVI, floyd brown, and do a hard hitting 2-3 hour political show, and knock off the enternewsment, morning show crap...everyone thinks they're a comedian.

Beck is a one-trick pony and a lightweight. I run several conservative talk programs. Glenn Beck is not and will never be one of them.

One of Glenn Becks board-ops does a show on my station and he was just telling a story this weekend about the man and said he pretty much is a totally different person behind the scenes and what you hear on the radio and see on TV is very much a persona crafted to do exactly what we see happening in this thread, put his name on peoples lips and in front of those who would not know him from adam otherwise....

Let him rail all he wants you only make him powerful if you listen or if you talk about him....

"very much a persona crafted to do......."

that says it, "a persona crafted". total engineertertainment shtick by design, to effectively corral and agitate one group, the democrat left wing, and corral the corporate right wing republicrat listeners, who can put their hero on a pedestal. all it is, is corporate mainstream media social engineering, divide and conquer manipulation. much of the same shtick rush limbo used at the start of his career, with his abortion machine sounds to abort calls that disagreed with him, and he couldnt effectively debate. that agitated the left wing, and their loud political hatred of him, put rush on the map.

my critisicm of beck aint the kind that makes him powerful or puts him on the map. i aint taking shots at his politics. im taking shots at his lame talk radio talent, and his phony entertainment shtick act on radio. most of his news, and views content is sliced and diced from alex jones/infowars.com, by his "zoo crew" producers, before beck even shows up. thank God others in the independent conservative news media can see through these mainstream corporate actors.....

What I do know is that between Scott and Mr. X comments in the thread; they have easily gained prominence as the kings of run-on sentences.

Like him or not, the man draws the audience.

That's all fine and dandy, but if they can't make money from it, there's no reason to air it.
There are many advertisers that have pulled out from his time slot due to controversy surrounding that entire ((GB)) brand.
