http://www.1540theticket.com/starting_lineup/Looks like Petros is moving time slots to the 4-7PM PST timeslot. Guess Fred Roggin is gone, kinda disappointing that Petros is moving, but I'm glad he's getting an extra hour, he deserves it. I won't be able to listen to his show as much now, but I guess it's a good move for his career.Thoughts ??

It sounds kinda funny about the timing of these at KMPC/Sporting News Radio. It kinda looks like, based on the sudden hire of the Stewart brothers, that KMPC/SNR forced Roggin out, although the reports in the papers say that Roggin wants to focus more on his duties at NBC, which can very much be the case. The rumors swirled around eariler in the year that Roggin wanted out anyways. As for Petros, I'll be listening more and more, especially considering the local competition in L.A. I've been listening to Dave Smith in the drive time slot for quite awhile, and I think he does a pretty good job. However, I'm not too sure about Smith's act catching on nationally on Sporting News Radio.

i'm glad P got the extra hour, but the time change will pretty much make it impossible for me to catch his show. i thought fred was gonna leave a few months back too. he had this whole squabble with petros because the crosstalk was cutting into his show and then did this cryptic show that made it seem like it was his last show. i'll miss fred, but if only because crosstalk was always so good. i really think he just wasn't into it anymore. my only beef is that petros doesn't want to do a national show and i think that's why he got moved to the afternoon. otherwise i think he would be up after bruno and on the SNR national gig. nothing against dave smith, but come on. petros is good. too bad too. could have been a nice little deal 2 hours of national show and 1 hour of local. here's hoping the P goes national sooner rather than later.
