Petros Papadakis

I discovered Petros recently while listening to Tony Bruno over the internet. For those who don't know, Petros hosts a local afternoon show on Tony's L.A. station. I think he's pretty damn funny. Anyone else have any opinions on Petros?

I remember him from ESPN 710 in Los Angeles. I didn't really listen to him enough to formulate a good/bad opinion about him. Does he still do college football play-by-play on Fox Sports Net?<P ID="signature">______________

I think the kid is pretty damn funny too. He's quite young, graduated USC in '01, so he's gonna appeal to a younger demo. However, i think that he screams a bit much. but i have found myself listening to him more and more. tony is constantly makin fun of him and his inability to date........

I don't know about his college football work, but the guy's energy is great on teh radio. Petros is good stuff. More to come.

He was...may still be Barry Tompkins sidekick on the FSN Pac 10 game of the week.

Being one of those easternerns, I'd never heard of the guy, but given some of the other analysts Barry had been saddled with, Petros came across ok

have you guys heard the rap battle between Tony and Bruno. Apparently Bruno has a rap response ready for Petros this morning.

Yeah, the "feud" is hilarious.

Re: Rap battle

I live in Cleveland, the land of horrendous sports talk.

You guys on this board turned me on to "P" and even though he mainly talks LA and West Coast sports, I find myself listening to his show every day on the net. Its one of the most entertaining shows I've ever heard. The guy has a great future for sure.

And the rap battle? Absolutely hillarious. P is whooping Bruno thusfar.

I agree. Bruno's rap is forced; P's is actually quite good. But Bruno, for a senior guy, is showing up. He gets points just for showing up.

Re: Rap battle

P was talking today about how had done an answer track but management wouldnt clear it. said it was too much. and that willard was in the GMs office as he spoke whining about it. pretty entertaining stuff

He did air Rap #2, but had to edit out the portions management deemed inappropriate. Apparently, there were a couple of lines in Rap #2 about the girlfriends of Willard and Bruno that Willard threw a fit over. Rap #2 is still darned good though.

Papadakis is awesome. As mad as I was when Tony departed from FSR and "went dark" for 6 months, I firmly believe that I and his other fans that tracked him down at 1540 are being rewarded twofold for their loyalty and patience if they have discovered Papadakis as well. And Willard is kicking ass too, he blows Bitterman Siciliano away.

"Dyed your goatee, like an ol'dude should?!"
That's just awesome.
TKO for P.

Re: Rap battle

Game, set , match, for the P.....Tony B's rhymes have a "Special Olympic Flow." Too funny.

For my money, nothing tops the P's "Do You Think You're Better Than Me? Cuz You Ain't Cuz You Ain't!" rant though. I can't get that out of my head sometimes!
