Phase 2 Trends

Well it seems that the dire warnings of WKQL demise were spoken to soon. In the latest trends only 3 stations in the market made major moves up based on 12+
WOKV up 1.0
WEJZ up .6
WKQL up .6

This is the first full WKQL 3 month trend and considering that there has been no marketing of the station and no jocks not a bad start.

Also it is obvious that the marketing that WEJZ has been doing has paid off.

I am wondering where the country listeners went. Both WQIK and WROO were down and WGNE was flat. Must be that lovely Aribtron placement.

True, sort of--they skyrocketed from 17th to 16th (12+), now soundly thrashing WZAZ-AM's religious programming.

A market insider told a friend Eagle is ranked #1 25-54 and KQL is 15th, below a 2 share.

When you refer to a trend, you're taking three monthly unweighted averages to come up with the "number". Seeing the trend on paper would certainly alter your perspective. WQIK is on an upward move. Rooster had a bad month in April which is throwing their average down. Eagle is still reaping the benefits of an outstanding March which will drop off next month. You will see a significant loss at that point. WAPE is trending up, 3 months in a row. WFKS is trending up as well. In fact, KISS and APE are both even in morning drive in the 18-34 demo. Interesting, since KISS uses a syndicated show and APE has 4 live people. Quite a budgetary difference for the same result. How long will that last?

As far as WKQL's upward movement, give me a break. A small increase like .6 is almost margin of error! This station has a looooooong way to go to even reach the level of amature. Almost everybody would agree with that. As far as how they look at this point, they're really not any better off than they were as Arrow. BUT, they have the ability to change that by making the right personnel changes.

WEJZ is looking healthy in both cume and quarter hours.

Even the Point had an upward trend. So did Gator. Granted, it was minor, but it's a lot better than going down.

Again, when the quarterly report comes out next month, expect to see a surprise or two.

Rooster has been trending down even before Gator moved in.
Think they'll flip? What's the magic in-tab diarie count for Jacksonville?

And kool is trending up! That's cool

Rumor has it Renda wants to flank WEJZ with Hot AC, maybe with star 94.1?
