Phase 2 Trends

It's been about a week since the trend came out. Other than 12+ numbers, are there any stories to tell? Looks like FM100 and The Buzz both came up quite a bit, and so did WDIA.

WREC drops, but that will pickup because it is an election year. What's happening to 98.1? WMFS stays the same; is there a shakeup there soon? Where's WMC-AM's classic country?

I'm sure we are the only people who have noticed they are playing classic country and they certanly haven't done anything to promote the format.
It's probably just something to babysit the 790 frequency that doesn't take any work. Everybody knows that nobody will ever listen to an AM station right? (sarcasm)

You're dead-on the money. They did nothing to promote it when it was sports and this format is no different; well, other than it is heckuva lot cheaper to run than sports, thus the change.

Speaking of which, neither 560 or 730 show up in 12-plus. I need to take a gander at their men 25-54 because that is what they sell.

790 was a little rough at the beginning with engineering or satillite problems and such but when they finally got it tuned up and running correctly, it sounds pretty good. Too bad that it's up for sale....no way they're gonna pump any resources to promote it. They do precious little for FM 100.00 Its a shame that corporations use a legendary station like WMC and operate it merely as window dressing.

Well, they show up 12+, but it's fractional. You're right, though--the M 25-54 is what matters to 560, 730, or 790.

And while I'm thinking about it, I'm glad to hear the Classic Country tunes coming out of my radio speakers. Always made it a point to work in as much of it as humanly possible when I was doing country; I have a real affection for that segment of the genre.
