PHC's last show NOT at the Fitzgerald Theater?!!?

Could somebody please explain to me why the last episode of Prairie Home Companion is a taped show from the Hollywood Bowl instead of from the Fitzgerald Theater?

What a great "thank you" to the loyal regulars in St. Paul: Not only are we not having our final show in our traditional location, we're going out to shallow, materialistic L.A. for our final send-off.

I can't believe the final show isn't being held at the Janet Wallace Fine Arts Center, "where it all began," but the next to last show wasn't held at the Fitsgerald either, it was a "sold show" from the Tanglewood Music Center in Massachusetts.

Because it's not the "last episode." It's simply the last episode with Garrison as host. The show will continue.

I wish they'd just do reruns with Garrison. The show just doesn't work for me without him. Some of the music is good, but not all.

I don't listen to the whole show. Just what happens to be on in the car when I'm driving home or when I'm fixing lunch. And sometimes "Wait! Wait!" is still on when I'm in the car.

But it is often true that the Powdermilk Biscuits song is playing when I get my biscuits out of the oven. No, they're not Powdermilk. I'm not even certain that's a real brand.
