Word is out that Phil Boyce is leaving his current talk radio gig. Is it just by chance that the WABC PD is leaving her job at about the same time? I hope this means Phil is returning to 770!
I don't know... If Laurie didn't really get a lot of satisfaction out of working at WABC under current ownership (even Jack Swanson in San Francisco might come to mind), I can't imagine Phil will be jumping at the opportunity to take advantage of the vacancy of his old gig. But I could be (and have been, on occasion) wrong. Maybe he'd serve as a shot in the arm for 101.9? Hmmm...
I met Phil at a Talkers convention a few years ago. Good guy. Knows his stuff.
