Phil Boyce needs to fire weak link Bob Brinker!

I've noticed that 770 has a strong lineup of top-notch people and programs even on the weekend. Mark Simone, Larry Kudlow, Monica Crowley, Eric Hastings with the Travel Show, John Batchelor and Bill Cunningham are all firm credible entertaining programs with substance. Why then on Saturday and Sunday afternoons do they waste time with a tedious nonsensical infomercial by some guy Brinker. Especially on Saturdays after Monica Crowley Phil Boyce should try to find some informative relevant program to fill the two-hour gap before Saturday Night Oldies than rely on a paid infomercial with Bob Brinker. That's just my opinion. I say recruit Andrew Willcow back for two hours on Saturday or give the slot to Jeffrey Lichtman who always does a reliable job whether he's subbing for Sliwa or Kudlow. Just for heavens sake get rid of that buffoon Brinker Phil and hire someone you can be proud of.

Bob Brinker's Moneytalk is NOT a paid infomercial. This show is syndicated by the ABC Radio Networks and has been since Super Bowl Sunday, 1986...long before Phil Boyce became PD. I've been a listener to Moneytalk since 1989 and it never gets old. I'll take Bob Brinker any day of the week over what passes for talent on the radio today. If it was up to me, I would carry the whole 3 hours of his show every weekend, no questions asked. Don't like the show? Don't listen to it.

LI Radio Fan, wake up and listen to the radio before you express yourself. Brinker is on many stations across America and has been for years. He must bill and get number to have done so for 22 years. I think the weak link on 77 will prove to be 6am till Noon Monday through Friday and 10am till 4pm on Sunday.

Never happen. Brinker is not only an ABC Radio mainstay, but legend on KGO, San Francisco ... who brings in lots of $$$$.

I'd carefully what what happens to Hannity in the next two months and Paul Harvey who is still on part-time status starting with "The Rest of the Story" tomorrow, as Ron Chapman fills in until he is fully recovered. Some defections possible, according to trades, including WLW in Cincy.

Non-ABC stations, especially Clear Channel ones, dropped Mr. Harvey with the switch to Fox.

The last two months have been very difficult for him. Give him credit and enjoy him while we can.

Speaking of finance, with Citadel opening at $1.26 a share tomorrow, just .26 cents from it's rock bottom $1 a share a few short weeks ago (only to rise to just over $1.90 a share before falling back to the current level,) what will hit Citadel next?

And rumor has it (from Melanie Morgan - ex-KSFO San Francisco,) Tom Taylor and Jerry Del Colliano that certain, select "blogs" are being blocked on Citadel servers, thwarting in-house reading. Some have dared say those critical of Farid and Citadel in general.

Others say they can get the blogs at home, so, they aren't affected...but that certain things just don't make it (while others do, apparently.)

Anybody know why?
