Phil Christie long time "Disc Jockey" passes at 87 [ See Boston Globe Obituary 8/21/15.

Remember when I was at WWEL Phil Christie would do the overnight at the old "Beautiful Music WWEL" back in the late 70's.

Can see him sitting on the studio floor doing his Yoga exercises. Think the only time he talked was when he was on-air. Also, the only person I knew who owned an AMC Pacer which looked like a VW on steroids.

He had a great radio voice.

The Voice of Market asket. I lisented to an interview he did on the WHAV internet station. He was one of a kind.

Come to think of it there were a lot of characters at The Top OF Your Dial. Bob Bowers, Quintin Migliori (sp). et all. Remember how the walls were decorated in the little room the AP Machine was in?

I have the AP wire copy that reported " Jimmy Carter Elected President".

I remember listening to Phil on WAAB in Worcester. I'm not certain, but I believe he became the first host of "Program PM" on WBZ prior to (The Other) Bob Kennedy. Loved his dry sense of humor. RIP Phil.
