Phil Drumheller

Phillip G. Drumheller, known to his listeners as Phil D, died on 14 July at the age of 85. His radio career began in 1955 and concluded in 2022 with the sale of WIZZ, a station he had purchased in 2003. He reached the peak of his popularity at Springfield's WHYN, where, according to a colleague, Mr. Drumheller dominated the ratings with a 70 share. He was inducted into the Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2010.
