His last show is June 26th. I'll miss his show dearly. I'm happy to hear he's moving onto bigger things; however will he carry the same passion and entertainment to television, as he has here, in radio?
I wish him well. He's a big fish in a small pond. I hope business of television doesn't eat him alive. I heard him say on the air the other day that TV pays so much better than radio and he didn't have to work as hard. Somehow, I doubt it has anything to do with money. He's probably just burned out and needs something new to do.
I consider Phil Hendrie an influence. I really appreciated his ability to step outside the cooke-cutter-conservative box and create original content that appeals to a different audience. His show's success is evidence that the audience craves alternatives to typical talk radio. Phil's creativity and improvisational ability is legendary. If you've never seen video footage of him doing his show, I suggest you seek it out. It's amazing to watch. My co-host Manwich didn't care for his show, but I think it was brilliant. The entire show was a 3 hour reverse phone prank. New suckers tuned in every night and became irate callers. Brilliant.Phil's last day is June 23rd. For many of you that means it's time to look for some weekday programming. Look no farther. We're easy to add, easy to prempt, don't ask for spots outside the show, plus we're perfect to replace Phil. Like Phil, we're not typical talk radio.
