KLAA-AM 830 10pm-1am beginning 9/10. The station is also in the process of moving into new digs INSIDE Anaheim Stadium.
Late night Talkradio in LA is indeed slim pickings. It was nice having Mr. KABC over those 10 years and Peter Tilden is OK but he doesn't even come on until 11:05p. Coast to Coast is intellectually vacuous and consumes not only KFI but also KOGO in SD and several other clear channel signals that are audible at night in the Southland. KRLA is a wasteland at 11p, and KTLK is running stale taped shows that aired live on the East Coast hours earlier. KLAA was a wasteland until now too, so Phil will be a welcome addition to that time slot. I'd love to see KRLA choose to go live and local in late nights.doberd said:Looking fwd. to Mon. night, not much else on in that time slot if your mind wants to be stimulated.

The sports program was NFL Monday Night Football. Last night was the opening night so they had a doubleheader, the 2nd game started at 7:15 pm PDT from San Francisco so it probably didn't end until after 10:30 or so. The rest of the season, there'll be only one game starting at 5:30 pm, so it'll end around or before 9 pm.doberd said:???Did anyone hear this show last night (Mon. 9/10/07)???
Maybe I fell asleep, all I remember on AM830 was some sports program.....

Although he apparently has locked up some nice big and juicy affiliates, the show really seems to be stale out of the gate.
THe political commentary he does now -- a bit left of Michael Savage -- is moderately interesting, but not necessarily what I would consider to be "must hear" radio like his old show. I can understand Phil wanting to do something "different" than his former show, but it honestly just doesn't cut it.

I did find an interesting show on 790AM from 9:00pm till 11:00 pm in english.

It finally occurred to me why the show seems to be so "flat" to me. Although he announces phone numbers, all of the "callers" are Phil Hendrie...and not actual calls from unknowing listeners. Also, it seems as though he is doing the show via ISDN line in a spare bedroom or such. His studio does not seem to be deadened.
