Phil Hendrie Returning to KFI?!

I know next to nothing about Hendrie, so when I heard a spot on KFI just now promoting a new Saturday evening show starring someone named "Charlie LaFountain" in Wayne Resnick's time slot, the name didn't mean anything to me until I Googled it. So does that mean after all these years, Resnick is leaving KFI, or is he just moving?

I just heard a promo for Dean Wheeler in the timeslot obviously voiced by Phil. Doubt they let go of Wayne, he's their utility player for ever. My question is, did Phils syndi show on 1150 get the kabosh.

I was probably Phil Hendrie's biggest fan when he was at KFI. However after basically weeping on the air continually months and months after 9/11 and then abandoning the humor and doing serious talk and then finally leaving the airwaves to pursue an NBC sitcom (which I think lasted 3 episodes), I think I've had my fill of Phil. Now 14 years later it almost seems ridiculous that I was into his show that much. I've moved on. No thank you I will not be listening to his show on Saturdays.

NEW WEEKEND LINEUP ON KFI: Phil Hendrie returns home to KFI! Saturdays 7-10PM. Frost Stilwell now hosts Sundays 4-7PM. Wayne Resnick moves to Sundays 7-10PM.

I like Phil, but he never became HUGE like many thought. I remember when he was on afternoon-drive he said he was going to kick Tom Leykis' ass. The ironic thing is they both have the same agent who also represents Howard Stern. I know Howard once sat in-studio and watched Phil do his thing.

I used to be a huge Phil fan. Then he just became a jerk. When he restarted his new syndicated show, it was pretty sad, he missed having talented writers providing him with quality bits.

Then, he screwed over a fan who set up (with Phil's blessing) a facebook site that had tons of bits from when Phil was funny, stuff that Phil never put on his pay per listen sham site. There was no need for the way he treated Justin. He was pretty good once, but he has continued to shoot himself in the foot, piss everyone off and become a bitter has-been. Smoke another bong Phil, you could have been a contender.

Phil caused his current state, he had tons of fans, and just crapped all over them.

Listening right now. Sounds like he's not comfortable with the equipment in the studio - did he move to a new location for KFI's broadcast? He has lost some of the old Phil. The show is not as smooth, Phil doesn't sound like he is fully in control. He's not screening calls well. Choppy transitions. I bet he is on the warpath - wouldn't want to be with him in studio right now. He's got to know he is screwing up his big-time debut royally. If you've never heard of him, you won't be tuning in next week.

Sounds like somebody's got an axe to grind. . but I enjoyed you years ago when you did morning radio with your partner, Hodge.
