Phil Hendrie Times 2

Heard the "World Famous Phil Hendrie Show" on WFDM AND WXNT live this morning at 3 am. WXNT was about a minute behind WFDM/WXLW. Seems odd to me, but, after all, this is radio ;D

Phil Hendrie is a very talented performer, but I would imagine his shtick must grow old. I'm sure his listeners realize all the calls are put on and satire by now. When I first heard Phil I was fascinated by his show, but after awhile it gets old.

I was up around 2AM last night looking for a decent talk show that was talking about Hurricane Sandy. The two strongest signals in South Florida(I'm visiting) carried Coast to Coast and Phil's show, ignoring Sandy. Jon Grayson's show on KMOX came in marginally and that's what I listened to through the skywave.

Hard to believe that anybody who listens more than once actually believe his "guests" are real. I suppose this technique allows him to say outrageous things, sort of like a ventriloquest's dummy does. He is good at what he does no doubt, but is there really an audience for that night after night?

Has he been on the same 3 stations again or was it a 1 night thing?
