Phil Hendrie's New Show

Just curious but where does everybody think Phil Hendrie's new show is going to air in the Seattle area, Phil's old show was carried by 1090 am back when they were extreme talk and they had ratings in the .5 range and 100.7 The Buzz which is now 100.7 The Wolf. Considering his new sow is being syndicated by Talk Radio Network(TRN) I think there's a very good chance the show will get picked up here. I've talked to four news/talk stations in the area about picking up the show and they have given different responses, KLAY 1180 in Lakewood(which is a suburb of Tacoma) carries a couple of TRN shows however I called them yesterday and the person I talked to said he'd never heard of Phil Hendrie before, oh well, KKOL 1300 airs a few TRN shows however they e-mailed me a few days ago and said they had no plans to carry the show, KTTH 770 carries a few TRN shows including Michael Savage and currently airs Lars Larson and Bill O'Reilly replays in the 10 PM-2 AM timeslot so they could be a good affilate, also I've called KTTH and I was able to get through to the office of the head of programming for them and KIRO 710 but I got person's voicemail. IMO, KTTH will probably get the show, although I could be wrong.

The show's a no-starter. It's just not funny after you get the joke that he's both sides of the discussion. And TRN shows can clear on any station - no one has priority or obligation (for the most part). There are several good shows that DON'T clear this market that I'd like to hear before Hendrie makes a return.

JDW, respectfully disagree. I have found his charecter voices unique and biting, many times saying things so outrageous that they actually invite discussion and thoughtful discourse. Plus, I find those who are not "in" on the joke to be just as entertaining, I guess, as in witnessing a car wreck. I simply love this show, and you have to admit there isn't anything like it on radio today, and is a nice change from the Hannity/Rush sameness. Glenn Beck is another one to watch, IMHO, in that he mixes strong humor with serious viewpoints. Sorry, but I like a little entertainment in my talk shows, and Rush and Sean rarely make me laugh like Beck does or Hendrie use to. I will DX a weak Hendrie to a strong Hannity anytime. Perhaps there are not enough like me to make it viable, but that is where I stand as a listener.
