Phil Lesh a member of the Grateful Dead RIP

Sad news. Lesh wasn't part of the Dead & Company reboot that's been touring around the country since Garcia's death 25 years ago. Bob Weir, the Dead rhythm guitarist and occasional lead singer, put the group together. He brought in John Mayer to play Garcia's leads. Original Dead drummers Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart are also in the band. Lesh was hit by a bunch of major health problems including prostate cancer. MusicCares will honor the Dead as their Person of the Year at next year's Grammy awards.

Sad news. I saw the Dead and the Phil Lesh & Friends project many times. He sang lead vocals on "Box Of Rain", which was one their iconic songs. Great musician and good guy. RIP...
