Phil Michaels-Trueba To Return To Hot 105/Miami

Veteran programmer Phil Michaels-Trueba is heading back to Cox Urban AC WHQT (Hot 105)/Miami, as PD. He previously worked for the station in the mid-1990s as Asst. PD/MD under then-PD Tony Kidd. Michaels-Trueba is expected to start early next week.

Michaels-Trueba was most recently at Promo Only, and he previously programmed Cox's CHR/Rhythmic WPYO/Orlando and the former Dance WPYM (Party 93-1)/Miami. Trueba takes duties at Hot 105 held by Tony Fields, who will continue to serve as Cox/Miami's OM and as PD of Urban clustermate WEDR (99 Jamz).
 
Although I don't expect him to bring the "Party" back, its great to see him return to the radio side of things, and WHQT is a great station. Congrats Phil!

(Agreed).. Glad he is PD in a South Florida market... I wish Phil the best of luck.
