Anybody had a chance to check out Phil Valentine yet? This guy's awesome! Lots of info, funny banter, very entertaining and some of the best song parodies I've ever heard. (I understand he does his own parodies, unlike all the other hosts) He's a little hard to catch because he's not on a big stick but we need to support this guy. He's syndicated through Westwood One and he's on two stations that, together, blanket the area. He's on WFOM 1230-AM and WALR 1340-AM from 3PM-7PM. Check him out and tell me what you think. His web site is http://PhilValentine.com

Stop with your blatant advertising. Blankets the area? Good one. Blankets the area that is with in 5 miles of the two transmitters?

careful...in most parts of the planet, it's illegal to use the word "blanket" and
the frequencies 1230 and/or 1340 in the same paragraph.
it's the law. oh yeah...does phil need two frequencies 'cause he says his first name with two syllables?

Okay, okay, maybe blanket is a little too generous. I just know I can pick the show up to and from work. I have to change stations to do it but I can pick it up. Sure would be great if GST picked him up.

I can't believe it! I just got off the Nashville board where somebody was trashing Phil and I see they're doing it in Atlanta,too...oh,wait a minute! It's Romer! Who resides in Nashville and seems to have a grudge against Mr. Valentine. His show is good! True, the stations aren't the most powerful but I meet a lot of people who listen and like it. Hey Romer-see you at Play...BIG BOY

crank it down a tad there fireball...did you see me post ANYTHING about valentine on the Nashville board?
that would be a "no"...
phil and I exchanged posts here a long time ago (and worked in the same part of the same building on music row)...
and have no problems. but he does use two syllables in his first name.
please don't put a grudge where it doesn't exist...and stop being stupid about who says what.
looks bad.
remember...I post using my name...not an easy to hide behind screen name.

Yeah, to be accurate, perhaps we should say "hankies" the area. Or "doilies" the area.

how does a broadcaster with a voice THAT bad get hired in radio?
Parody songs? THERE is an original idea for a radio show. Thats never been done before.
Parody songs...brilliant.

Gimmie a break. I'd rather listen to Leslie Fram barf her lunch up. ::)
