Philadelphia’s Bob Charger Dies at 71

Longtime Philadelphia area personality Bob Charger passed away in early August, 2024. Bob is best known for his 20 years at WOGL during their oldies/classic hits formats and before that on oldies WPGR. He did one show on the legendary WIBG, their very last overnight show in 1977, and also worked at the end of WFIL as an oldies station, and overnights on WIP. He started at smaller stations in south Jersey and Wilmington, and was a music columnist at the start of his career. he was a popular entertainer at the Philadelphia Broadcast Pioneers events.
