Philadelphia TV rallies around Pope

Pope Francis will be in Philadelphia for his historic visit Sept. 26 and 27. Much of his visit will be televised live and several TV stations are also airing related documentaries.

Pope Francis is expected to arrive in Philadelphia around 9:40 a.m. Sept. 26 and will celebrate Mass at the Cathedral Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul at 10:30 p.m.

At 4:45 p.m, Pope Francis will visit Independence Mall and is expected to do a loop in the Popemobile greeting crowds before speaking from the podium used by Abraham Lincoln to deliver the Gettysburg Address.

At 7:30 p.m. he will attend the Festival of Families.

On Sept. 27 at 4 p.m, Pope Francis will celebrate the closing mass for the World Meeting of Families 2015. The Mass will be held outside the Philadelphia Art Museum and is open to the public.

The pope will then leave for Rome at 8 p.m.
