More people getting out of the house
More people attempting to live life like normal, back in the office etc. CUME is still about 80% of pre-COVID numbers, so it's still a smaller share of a smaller audience.
Is low-4's the new normal for Ben FM? Other than the COVID shock of March/April, they've been looking pretty good recently. And only 0.4 behind WOGL. (I know. 6+ Vanity numbers. But still).
WIOQ getting back to normal-ish. WTDY, eh.
KYW and WHYY both have seemed to plateau with respectable numbers on the news front.
WMGK is struggling kind of
WPST and WSTW look high for out of market stations. IS WSJO an atlantic city station
And so does WKXW.
Remember, Nielsen almost always surveys whole counties. There are areas of the Philadelphia metro that are really more part of Trenton or Wilmington than they are of Philadelphia. So it is natural that some of the adjacent market signals would get a low showing in the market.
However, agencies do not buy that deep, so there is no gain in showing up at the bottom of another market's ratings.
Yes, it is home to the Atlantic City market. Philly market's Burlington, Camden and Gloucester counties border on the Atlantic City market, so there is spillage there.
Would you understand that once, in the Winter NYC Arbitron for New York City in 1969 a San Juan, PR, station "made the book" with a "below the line" 0.1 share?
It’s interesting. Unquestionably some offices are back open. And stipulated total cume is not back entirely.
But large swaths of the region have a long way to go before fully opening. Still a lot of telecommuting taking place. Not to say one can’t listen to the at-work station at home, but the climb has been pretty solid.
