So it's bottom 9, 5-5, and the legendary Mini Martinez at the plate. And sick human that I be, I'm attentively in tune to my MLB.com package, and all of a sudden, lo and behold, MLB.com CONTINUES carrying the WPHT feed that switches to Harry Donahue and Johnny Baum pre-gaming Owls hoops. On MLB.com, no less.

So before I switched to the Tigers feed, I was forced to miss Mini's at bat. That is deprivation. And it was cold.

But I do know that Martinez is 3-5 today, including a dinger off maybe Doc Halladay's only bad pitch of the day. Vic is 3-5. You do the math on Mini's part with that hint.

It's a final, now. Phils and Tigers walk off at 5-5. But you'd never know it on MLB.com audio.

you better let 1210, 94.1, the Phillies and MLB know about this and ask them to use the WIP-FM feed.

Hey. It's Spring Training, and not just for the players.

MLB.com seems to need the time to ramp up on their coverage too. I've followed some of the first couple games too, and noted that their scorekeepers are lagging far behind in updating the game stats. By the time the season starts, they'll be together.

And yes, WPHT is the flagship, like it or not. It is THEY who feed the signal to everyone else, including WIP-FM. It originates with THEM.

I think that WIP-FM is now the Phillies flagship because its obvious to me that 1210 isn't anymore because they wouldn't do the following this Saturday 3/2:
1:00 PM Philliles Baseball (Spring Training)
NOTE: The rest of the Phillies game can be hear on SportsRadio 94.1FM
2:00 PM Temple Men’s Basketball
So If I was MLB.com I would change the audio feed to WIP-FM for the Phillies games since 1210 will not air the games from start to finish because of college basketball.

WIP is not the flagship. WPHT is. Well technically they both are but PHT is responsible for distributing the broadcast to the affiliates. I just don't get why WIP can't do that since they have the better signal/fidelity and their regular programming isn't a total 180 from Phillies games because they're a sports station. If it was me I'd just have WIP run the network and have WPHT be the simulcast since they theoretically have a larger range than WIP (although I know some people here would laugh at that notion).
