Phillies on 100.1 ?

Given that Clear Channel has given up broadcasting the Phillies
in the Harrisburg area, Cumulus probably has no interest, and no
other afterdark static-free AM signal can reach the 'burg area,
why doesn't 100.1 simulcast the Phillies with 1270AM ? Of course,
they'd be pre-empted by the Hershey Bears, but the concept would
seem to be a ratings boost. How many "soft rock" stations do we
need, 24x7 ?

A far as I know, the Phils are only on 1 fm station. WCHX in Lewistown and they actually do pretty well with them. I love hearing sports on FM

Make that FM = 0. The phillies have been moved to WKVA-AM, 920. This once proud regional signal now barely makes it out of Lewistown in the daytime .. nighttime is even worse.

WQIC(100.1FM) has the Phillies on Sundays. WLBR(its AM counterpart) has church programming that it will not get rid of. Thus, the Phillies ARE on FM!

I know QIC had the Phightens on Saturdays. It was fun/wierd listening to them on FM. As a reference, this was on 422 West in Exeter Township. On a side note, from the same locale, I was able to listen to the NFC/AFC Championship games from 105.5 WMGH/Tamaqua. Marv Albert on FM......YESH!!!! ::)

I think WQIC-fm100.1 signs off all night.(as does its sister station WLBR-am1270) My question is ----WHY????
