Phillies Playoff Games on Over-The-Air Channels

Does TBS own exclusive rights to the divisional and National League Championship Series, or will a local station be able to pick up the TBS broadcasts. There was no mention, that I heard, on the Phillies telecast that there would be over-the-air coverage of the NLDS. Although most people have cable or satellite, I am sure there will be that vocal few who don't have cable that will complain about the games not being over the air in the local markets.

Nope, it will be on TBS only. Doesn't matter, because CSN would probably have picked up any playoff games anyway, like they do with the flyers/sixers.

Also, if the Phillies advance to the NLCS, they will still be on TBS, as Fox is only carrying the ALCS.

It will not be blacked out on TBS. TBS is the only outlet that will carry it.

BTW, its probably safe to assume any Phillies fan has cable, since over 100 of their games aired on CSN or ESPN anyway. The bigger story however is the fact that comcast doesn't have TBS HD, which means the Phillies won't have a game viewable in HD, until/if the world series on fox.

MLB really dropped the ball giving a post season contract out to a network, that doesn't have secure HD coverage.
