Phillies TV Broadcasters Do Radio When Phils Are on National TV

Tuned in WIP-FM while the Phillies were on ESPN's Sunday Night game and heard Tom McCarthy and Gary Matthews calling the game. It was the first inning. Anyone know how many innings they did?

I know they did this in previous seasons during the postseason, but I didn't know they were doing it for regular season ESPN or Fox games.

Also, a request for WIP-FM: could you turn up the delay just a little longer? Radio was slightly ahead of TV last night (at least in my house - TiVo DVR tuned to ESPN-HD via Comcast South Philly) which made it impossible to sync. If radio is behind TV I can use my DVR to sync, but not if vice versa.

Scott and LA had the whole night off. I think Jim Jackson did PBP of the middle three innings, McCarthy did the rest and Sarge did the whole game.

Interesting. Is that going to be a regular thing?

What a slap in the face to Scott Franzke and Larry Anderson. The radio guys should do the radio broadcasts in this case. And they're much better on the radio than McCarthy and Sarge. Give the TV fellows the night off.

I think they make it up as they go along when they have a game on network TV. Last Saturday's game was on Fox, and the radio pairing was Franzke and Wheeler.
