Philly DX in Lafayette

Interesting DX tonight around 7... 93.3 WMMR/Philadelphia and 103.5 WGMS/Washington coming in rather well in Lafayette, with WMMR sounding local for the entire trip from UL to Acadiana Mall. I was also getting 97.5 WTHK/Trenton, though not as clearly.

Not surprised......6mtr ham band (50-54Mhz) was open....a VK3xxx station was heard in Texas on 6m FM last night.

BTW VK3 is an Australian callsign!

For being low on the sunspot cycle, we sure cooking with the skip huh CW?
And ain't that around Melbourne that station was (actually somewheres in victoria state I beleive)
