Philly "Holiday" Book 2020

Numbers are out!

As expected, WBEB is #1, but not with as high of a share as in the past. Pandemic-related listening changes? Entercom tinkering too much?

WDAS-FM proves it's just solid.

Hard to determine much with the Holiday numbers. WBEN, WISX, WOGL all down a bit. WRFF with their usual slip too.

WKXW tying WPEN from Trenton. Impressive.

WTDY sinking back into the 1's

And apparently listeners didn't like WRNB and WPHI being merged into one format. Can't remember the 100.3 signal being that low.

KYW solid with the new 103.9 signal. Nothing super-major.

The Black Information Network makes a blip again with a 0.1.

iHeart's "The Gambler" pulling in a whopping cume of 3,700. Ouch.

Honestly not sure what the B101 numbers mean. Sure, the overall changes (air staff for example) resulting from COVID cuts would be seen the first time in a holiday book. But...really....to me, every time I listened the station sounded just like it did any other Christmas. Same music texture, same interstitials, same contest (albeit conducted via text..but come on...).

A wild guess could be disrupted office and shopping patterns. But some other major markets saw different results for the heritage Christmas stations. Or it’s just a fluke within the general range of what Christmas is going to so in Philly.
