Philly radio history question

Just Googled the title and the station calls and not even a full list of search results is generated. You might want to drop a line to someone at WBCB, I'm sure they might be able to help if nobody on this forum isn't able to. (Or spring the question on Merrill Reese if you bump into him at an Eagles game. ::) )

With "speak your piece" wbcb (not peace) I got over google 400 hits.
Looks like Don Kirby may have been the original host.

WBCB signed on December 8, 1957 & there's an article from the Inquirer archived online from 1986 that says Tom Early began hosting the show in 1957 so I believe he was the first host, hosting up until the station cancelled the show for a time & played music in that timeslot, around 1990. He then moved to WBUX for a few years, doing the show live from the old Goodnoe's Dairy Bar in Newtown. I remember he was quick to make negative comments on the moral failures of others in society on the show, so it was a 'shock' to some when he was arrested & admitted to a bizarre sex crime in 1994, for which he was put on 2-1/2 years 'house arrest' according to a Morning Call article April 4, 1994. He was 70 at the time, I never heard any more about him after that.

Those that denounce usually do worse in their private lives....
