Westinghouse acquired CBS, Inc in 1995. Westinghouse sold off its manufacturing units, combined Group W and CBS broadcast holdings and changed its name to CBS. CBS then acquired Infinity/Westwood One and later spun off Infinity as a public company, in which CBS/Viacom holds controlling interest. Viacom acquired CBS in 1999. Viacom was originally CBS Films, the syndication arm of CBS.

WCAU-FM was first owned by the Levy Family. Then the Philadelphia Evening Bulletin. Then CBS after 1958.
