Philly TV Cooking Pioneer Passes

Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Florence Hanford, host of "Television Kitchen" sponsore by the Philadelphia Electric Co. passed away this weekend at the age of 99. A classic in local programming.

I do remember, as a kid, watching that show with my mom. I may not remember correctly, but I believe her show was on channel 3. I remember thinking that she sure got that food cooked a lot quicker than my mom did at home. As a kid I didn't realize or notice that she had stuff already cooked to show us to keep to her half hour time slot.
