Goodbye, Almavision and KQBN-LP, hello KEJR-LP.
The FCC approved the sale of KQBN-LP to Phoenix 6 LLC (Bela) on Wednesday. The new owners have already requested a change of call letters to KEJR-LP and have changed format. They now ID as 43 KEJR Kingman Phoenix using a bug logo that looks exactly like that of Bela's KBEH 63 Oxnard CA, which is no surprise, considering it's the same owner and the same programming. The station is billed as a family-oriented Spanish-language station and gets most of its programming from TV Fiesta in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Also, K53GF was granted a construction permit to move to ch. 38, where they will have the calls K38IZ. The permit says nothing about them being a digital channel, and the engineering data on the application is analog.
