Phoenix Market Network Feeds

Does anyone know what network feed Phoenix Arizona is on? East or West?

There is no Mountain feed, so I believe the networks tape-delay, then replay back primetime and other non-live (read: sports) shows. Even in DST the Pacific feed doesn't work because it is one hour behind.

We get live shows live (NFL, etc.) but regular entertainment shows usually come on simultaneously with CT. That means a network show beginning at 8PM Central Time begins at 7 MT. Our "prime time" weekday is 7-10 PM local.

During DST Arizona (with the exception of the Navajo Reservation) observes PDT which means we are the same time as the Pacific Coast. In Winter we observe MST so we are one hour ahead of PST.

Depends on the network/cable channel and program.

The four major OTA nets typically get the east coast feed; NBC (at least, maybe others)
also has a Mountain Time Zone feed. During DST, the ET/CT or the Mountain feed still
need to be delayed by the affiliate. One exception might be (most of) CBS daytime,
where KPHO-TV could take the left coast feed (same clock time, except for TPIR). It is
also assumed that--during DST--the ABC/CBS/NBC affils take the left coast feeds of the
morning yakkers, since some material seen on air is updated from three hours earlier.

Some cable channels have one feed, more of them have two (east and west). Our great
cable system cough..Cox...cough has this love affair with the left coast feeds, even during
the four-month standard time winter, when that brings in shows "PT plus one hour."

Not quite. On the four major OTA networks, an 8 PM CT show (9 ET) airs here at 8 PM
year-round, making for a one-hour delay in winter and a two-hour delay in summer.

KPNX 12 Mesa (NBC) could utilize the NBC Mountain feed in winter, but apparently they
don't. Instead they start prime time at 6:59:00 and sell an extra minute of spots during
the evening. I believe a couple other affils also start prime either :30 or :60 early, and
sell the extra spot(s).
