Phoenix Radio Docu

Best quote: Chuck Artigue..." the really bright people of the world are going to the casket..." Worst: Tim of Tim 'n Willy..."the numbers (ARB) aren't accurate because of the small sample size..". Most hypnotic effect on Los Buckeye Boyz: a tie between the swirling O in KOY's logo and Deborah's bug eyes.

How sad to think that Bill Heywood, one of the Valley's best radio entertainers, passed away a year ago Jan 4th. A tip of the fez to these producers for remembering his many contributions to the art of radio!

Even sadder to remember how he passed. :(

If you've ever dropped a full point because one freaking panelist decided to listen to nothing but Christian radio for a month, you find some truth in his complaint.

Produced by Hattrick's son. Well done!

Which explains why about halfway through I was asking myself "is this a documentary about Phoenix radio, or an ad for Tim & Willy's show?"

If you've ever wondered what catfish (lower case c) does when he's not tweaking Lumberyard 14~Forty, look at the highly trained broadcast engineer behind Holmberg at 15:49. hmmmm...pocket protector not visible from this angle ;)

I need to interview Chuck Artigue... Agenda 1.) Programming. Agenda 2.) Lumberyard.

Could you convince him to point his pattern down into the SE Valley? Or maybe put the L-yard on a good FM signal? Maybe change his calls to KOPA? ;D

I think a convincing of making a programmer hire would be better suited for us all in Phoenix frankly. If not, sure, point the Lumberyard in the direction of S. Tempe. Or perhaps you should get an HD Radio and listen on KDKB HD-2! ;)

I'll give it a try next time I'm in the HD-equipped car. Thanks for the reminder!

Please add the following to your agenda:

3.) Yearly promotional fee to AKJEF Enterprises for creating far more interest in an Ancient Modulation station than it deserves has yet to be received by the A/R dept at the Buckeye Media Hut.

Thank you KLL, and a tip of the fez!
