...this would have been during the syndicated months of Amos 'n' Andy, before the show was placed that August on the Blue Network of NBC (excepting the program's originating station, WMAQ Chicago, which was still a primary CBS affiliate at the time and wasn't acquired from the Chicago Daily News by NBC -- for its Red Network --until 1931). I'd be curious as to who KOY got for the local sponsor; IIRC, KFRC San Francisco had a Shell Oil sponsorship for its Amos 'n' Andy pre-NBC carriage...
