Phoenix Talker lowers the bar... geez!

On the Phoenix Board regarding KFNX

Yep, that brokered Colon Blow station that used to have the National Socialist Nazi show (because, how much harm can they do?) now has "Hair on Fire" with host Barbara Espinosa saying things like this. Oh, same station carries Russell Pearce, and the 6000 year earth Creationist show.

Post image for Conservative Radio Host: Obama Not First Black President, ‘I Call Him A Monkey’

An Arizona conservative radio host on-air said that she refuses to call Barack Obama the first Black President, but she proudly acknowledged she calls him “a monkey.” Barbara Espinosa adds that she can’t be called a racist.

Is this what talkradio has become?

Sadly, many big talk stations around the country are only one or two clicks away from being that station in Phoenix.

The situation is pathetic. Especially sad is the fact that it didn't have to be that way.

A number of stations carried that guy William Pierce? something Peirce, till he died. I think it is fine for stations to run anything they want as long as it is not illegal.

Do we really need more Rush-Hannity-Levin stuff? The talk radio talks the same issues to death. I would rather listen to a Nazi or a Commie, than the same old Republicans good, democrats bad or Republicans bad, democrats good talk radio.

Like today, it is going to be Eric Holder stuff, morning noon and night, some of the people say the same words over and over to boot, it is like someone washing their hands over and over again.

Hyperbole much? You can disagree with certain hosts, but to claim any major talk host is anywhere near this nonsense is just plain ridiculous.

Also a second point: No one listens to this station, and the show is brokered. It's not like Premiere or Dial Global is airing this garbage.

They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. When we listen to broadcast talk (radio or TV) we all hear something a bit different depending on how it bounces off the "hetrodyne" that oscillates in our own head. For some of us, some of today's major talk is certainly no more than THREE clicks away from the Phoenix based show.

Even if well-meaning loyal listeners don't finally get the message, sooner or later the political parties are going to realize that some talkers are very corrosive to the American political process. At some point thinking people wake up to the fact that what appears to be the animal laying golden eggs is also "fowling the nest" by regularly crapping in the nest with the eggs.

Nobody likes having eggs in the refrigerator with farm fresh chicken crap all over them.

No one listens to this station, and the show is brokered. It's not like Premiere or Dial Global is airing this garbage.

Sam and Sarah Sixpack do not know a brokered station from a State Fair blue-ribbon station. If they like a host like the one in Phoenix, that host is GOLDEN in their mind... just as much as your favorite legitimate talker is golden in your thinking.. or my favorite host is golden in my thinking.

I grew up on a farm and we had eggs in the "ice box" with spots of chicken crap on them now and then. But today when we buy eggs we open the carton to make sure there are no cracked eggs in the carton.... and to make sure they look clean. I don't trust that stuff that other people's chickens dispense. ;D

Today I live in one of the three chicken capitals of the United States. Life's lesson #4368: I do not listen to a radio station that smells like a chicken house.

Your point about the listener not knowing brokered programming is absolutely right. That part was specifically aimed that those of us who know the business. My point is that REAL radio broadcasters aren't airing anything even remotely like this tripe.

Let's be honest. Certain posts in this thread are an attempt to equate this "host" with Rush, Beck, Hannity, Savage and Levin. We can argue what a "click" means, but it's insulting to real professional broadcasters to compare them with someone like this moron playing radio in Phoenix. It's more of the same "[Insert host name] hates Obama because of his skin color" nonsense, and this forum should be better than that.
