Pine Bluff (again)

I don't know how to tell you, Art. But I'm afraid the MRS Ventures coup has literally killed off the legend. Assumingly I think they're all dark unless they (MRS) reported to the FCC in which I highly doubt.

All of the (MRS) Miserable Radio Stations in Pine Bluff are off now. I think it was Andy Hodges that was trying to operate 99.3 for a little while in early 2007 for a few months as a ESPN Radio affiliate, but that didn't last. KTRN-104.5 FM is all that's left on the air locally in Pine Bluff anymore. LA-Do you know if any of the other MRS stations in Texas or Mississippi are still on?

WDSK 1410 AM was still on when I was in Cleveland a couple of weeks ago.

One remaining Russell station is on in Texas, KWRD 1470 in Henderson. It's LMA-ed and appears to be be doing OK for now. KZEY 690 Tyler has been off a long time and basically nothing remains of the station; here's more from the Texas board: www.radio-info.com/smf/index.php/topic,87779.0.html

Last I've checked as one of the above posters mentioned, WDSK-AM is still on in Cleveland out of the six stations in the Delta. The five FMs, however, are assumingly either dark or deleted. KZEY-AM as mentioned hasn't registered a thing air-wise and KWRD apparently doing really well under the LMA. I wonder if Floyd Donald is working at KTRN?

All the Mississippi stations are off, except for WDSK-AM, which continues to run full daytime power at night. The WDTL/WRKG tower near Cleveland was cut down in June, as was the KZYQ tower near Lake Village, AR. WZYQ was evicted from its tower, as was KRKD in Dermott, AR. The licensee has never reported ANY of the stations as being off-air. Russell is real class act.
