This station (which is currently trumpeting its four-year anniversary on its website, http://www.kaos959.com) is, according to their schedule, live 12 hours a day (the other 12 hours repeats the same schedule).
As to how they have survived four years without getting yanked, you got me.

This station (which is currently trumpeting its four-year anniversary on its website, http://www.kaos959.com) is, according to their schedule, live 12 hours a day (the other 12 hours repeats the same schedule).

They were yanked a few years ago. The station was shut down by
the FCC after it's first 11 months of on-air broadcasting.
They've since resurfaced. You can get the full story of

And in true Austin fashion, the station even picked up a "Best of"
award in the Austin Chronicle in 2004. They were selected as "Best Job
Sticking It To The Man". Doesn't this station do remotes at the

You have to laugh at their "staff" photo of the site where they're all covered in black to as to conceal their identities. Really shows how cowardly they are. May they get shut down permanently and fined so heavily that they'll never be able to afford their "schwag" again.

I live in South Round Rock and work in Downtown Austin. Have never heard either 95.9 or 92.7 anywhere in between. Where are these transmitters located, and what part of town can they be heard in?

I get 95.9 clearly between my workplace (Lamar/Manchaca area) and the area south of William Cannon.

another one on 101.3 in Gonzales
Another Priate talk radio is on 101.3 in Gonzales it kills out Kono and 101X, I gues no one really listened to either of those stations there to care I gues. But when I'm driving through that station is strong enough to kill both of them.
