Pirate games on KDKA AM?

When I'm working in the afternoon and I put on KDKA to hear some talk radio in the background and the Pirates game is on, I am not happy. I know I can't be the only one.
Baseball is nowhere near as popular as it once was. Especially with the team doing as lousy as it is for the last 20 years or so. You have to wonder about the financial feasibility of putting the games on a main signal on a weekday. it just frustrates all your regular talk listeners.
Wouldn't it be better to put all the games on one of the Fans HD sub channels and advertise the hell out of it?
 
Just a cheap way to program the station so they don't have to hire a 12-3 host until fall. Run the day games, and use Ziese when Pirates play at night and his show is preempted on the FM. Use Part timer Moore as needed. Saves a full time salary. Does it drive away talk listeners, sure. But the talk alternatives in Pgh are dreadful, so I guess Spacc thinks its worth the gamble.

The rights to baseball are very expensive, but they produce considerable income and profit.

They are not going to remove their best profit center.
