Pirate in Worcester at 103.9

This page seems tied to them

Radio-Locator is listing the legitimate LPFM WUTY-LP as being on both 97.9 (with a CP) and 102.9. Owner: Pride Productions

I'm assuming the "pirate" is doing more than just flea power...like the "talking house" type stations such as what
a church in Lynnfield has at 1640 AM (reaches a couple blocks)

Ah ok, time to update radio-locator

Theres been no license to cover filed or naything to indicate to the FCC theyve moved as far as i can tell

FCC site search; CP granted Feb 13 of this year. Enter WUTY in search

--CP Grant Date: 2020-02-13

So a CP, not sure if license to cover is involved

No, it was granted 8/28/18 and expries 4/01?22, what you saw was just a modification of the cp it appears.

And why or why do you trust anything but fccinfo.com fccdata.org or fcc.gov for license information?\

The irony about the legitimate Unity Radio is the signal was so much better when it was on 102.9. I could get the station even in the suburbs around Worcester.

When they moved down the dial to 97.9 they were unlistenable in many parts of the city and forget about trying to listen in the surrounding towns.

While they were 3 watts, back on 102.9 they had alot higher height.. they have a full 100 watts but are much lower now.. thats what makes the difference, not the frequency

According to an email from Ernie Floyd I received when they moved to 97.9 he’s hoping to get his “tower” moved to the top of one of the DT buildings so the station will be listenable throughout the city.
