Pirate nabbed?

Not sure, but there could be 2 or even 3 pirates on 95.9.

See www.wbigstation.com for one of them.....be careful the PC doesn't go bonkers.

As to the 91.7, there is dead air. No sound, but it's there. And....I hate it....that's one o' my best DX frequencies.

91.7 was called Stars/Starz FM...I heard a Starz in south Dade on 99.5 which could be a simulcast.

What's with these people. So brazen to put up fancy, professional websites complete with staff photos, phone numbers and sometimes ADDRESSES. Perhaps if pirates faced major jail time and seizure of ALL assets of volunteers and owners with no bankruptcy protection at all, this nonsense would stop. With Internet, pirate radio is no longer really needed. The best Christian hit music station in Saint Louis, where I live, isn't even on FM. It's on Internet, has live local staff during the days, commercials, live weather including NWS weather alerts, amber alerts, regular network affiliations and even full membership in The Missouri Broadcaster's Association -- see http://boards.radio-info.com/smf/index.php?topic=171601.0.

I first heard the station's programs on an FCC licensed station in Kansas City, Missouri, KCXL-AM 1140 and have been listening ever since.

As a Christian myself, I am ashamed to say that two pirates (maybe one was busted at 95.9) have preaching & Gospel music.

I say, if they wanna buck the system in the name of the Lord, the way to do it is the way Carl McIntire did....take a boat, take broadcasting equipment, go off to international waters, and give it a try....they just need to be safe out there!

We do not care if one chooses a frequency wisely, but being co-channel to, or on a first adjacent channel makes no sense whatsoever. They QRM the local station plus the local station QRM's them and with a lot more power. We would consider 102.1 to be safe for operation in Broward County, three channels above Lite and three channels below Magic. When the Federal Radio Commission or its predecessor was formed, property rights were brought into conflict with first ammendment rights and the latter had to be suppressed.

I dont live in Florida, but would you see my station is safe on 87.9 in my area. Its an AC format with a Rhythmic Dance Lean with only 100 millowatts, using an indoor whip antenna, and I also stream on Shoutcast. Ive done everything in my power to stay on a frequency that causes no interference,, there is no 87.7, 87.9, or 88.1 anywhere near here,, We got K-Love with 10 watts 16 miles away, but its received on a boombox just right outside my house, I wanna know this and be safe cause im scared i will get busted, so Im not going to tell you where I am located, but its signal only has 1 and a half miles with a average radio, but detectable on car radio 4 miles away. I dont have a website, I dont talk on air or air commercials, and I certainly dont give out my address.. I only play music and have no I.Ds at all. But anyway, if you like Dance, Disco, Retro 80s and 90s, you may like my webstream.

I CANT get these links to work, but you can go to shoutcast and type in 87.9 Mystery FM
