I'm glad they finally got onto that stuff, that one in Gonzales was really a bad dial. It is finally off the air now... I think the last time I was in Austin the 96.3 was still on the air, not sure if it still is or not though. Glad they are finally catching them things.
 
as I type this, 1 is off and 1 is still on.... I could pick up 2 of the RFA freq's from my location near Highland Mall.
 
So did anyone here actually complain to the FCC or the engineering departments of the affected licensed broadcasters?
 
What does it matter if anyone complained? These guys shouldn't have been doin that regardless. That's what internet radio stations are for.

There has been griping and grumbling here about the San Antonio pirate near UTSA for most of the past year. I was just curious if anyone here deserved a pat on the back for being part of the solution that led to the takedown.
 
If you look at the NOUOs they all came out at the same time. So if one was complained about the FCC tracked all of them down, confirmed and sent the notices. It was probably the one in Dallas that got noticed. Wasn't that one set up near the field office? And, if you are ignorant enough to give out the frequencies and locations of your illegal transmitters over the air then you deserve to have all of your sites notified.
 
I filed a complaint with the FCC nearly 9 months ago. My complaint was closed because they said that I didn't have proof that they were broadcasting in Austin other than their website. When I filed, they still had a listing of the frequencies on their site. They have since taken them down. So, my complaint was closed.

In all honesty, I'm for free speech. But it has to be done LEGALLY! Besides, now if frees up room for my fm transmitter!
 
This group was also runnin a station in Houston on 94.9 with very limited range they went off the air in like eary to mid 05
 
They are still running strong in Austin on 96.3 and 92.7?
