Pirate on 101.9?

This afternoon (5/12), 101.9 was playing R&B/Hip Hop type stuff; only song I recognized was a remake of "Two, So In Love". First noticed it at Gilbert/Mckellips. Signal strong on Mckellips, also Lindsay and at my home; later when I went to Gamers Inn I practically lost the signal turning form Lindsay onto Southern. Was spotty on Southern but picked up listenable signal in the parking space at Gamers Inn (just east of Stapley). No legal ID at top of the hour; in fact no announcer at all.

Pirate?

Still on as of 10:30 Saturday morning. I think they did sign off for the night on Thursday, prolly not 24/7. They played "Judas" by Lady Gaga (twice I think).

I can't pick this up anywhere but that little section of Mesa. Gotta be a pirate, if not a Part 15. But wouldn't a Part 15 be required to do a legal ID?

How strong are the ipod fm transmitter's?

Not very, for the most part. Some are good for about 100-200 feet, but mine has problems reaching my own car radio (antenna on the front passenger side fender) unless I sit the body of the thing on the passenger seat.

No, since there is no license and no assigned call letters. Call letters used by Part 15 stations, like KASC/1330 on the ASU campus, are unofficial.
