102.1 seems to be strongest in the Chapel Hills Mall area. It's been running for the last couple of years, playing old time radio shows from the 40s and 50s. Good place to get your Johnny Dollar fix.
What's interesting is that I thought this station was over in Rockrimmon. There is a home on Woodmen Road that has a sign encouraging people to listen to 102.1 next to their Christmas lights display. But the signal does indeed seem stronger on the east side of I-25. Is this an LPFM or an unlicensed pirate? Because it's certainly not a part 15.
Located the transmitter to Northface Lane just off of Alegainy (spelling) Appears to have a ground plane antenna attached to the side of a house. Haven't calculated the field strength just yet to determine the ERP
DF'ed the site to Northface Lane off of Alegainy (spelling is incorrect) ... ground plane antenna attached to the side of the house. Calculating the field strength now to determiine the ERP, agreed it's way above Part 15 ...
Now you should report the pirate's location, frequency, time of operation, etc., into the FCC's online complaint system so they can locate the pirate themselves and issue the appropriate paperwork for this unlicensed intruder
