I was driving on Jensen Dr by Crosstimbers and there was a station playing hip-hop and R&b. I couldn't hear the ID cause I got a phone call but it was a female giving the Id
 
Most likely tropo last night 102.5 I was getting a country station like it was a local
 
I stopped by Crosstimbers and Jensen. Heard Spanish preaching. Recognized the voice. Pastor Hector Guvara. Sent him a message. He advised his church has a license for 15 kW on 91.1 out of New Waverly.

While you're sending messages to Hector Guevara, why don't you alert him to the fact that there's no way in hell his church's translator K266BW in Luling is picking up KNLY directly off air from New Caney? That's how it's licensed, after all. Is his illegal translator, which is blocking KONO-FM reception between Gonzales and Luling, not a big enough prize for you?
 
Purple, you are absolutely right. FCC rules say a non fill in translator between 92.1 and 107.9 must receive its programming over the air. Ahile back somebody PMed me about this, claiming that KHCB -- with dozens of translators scattered all over -- is violating this rule. Anyway, I called a friend with the FCC in DC and was told that these types of waivers are routinely granted for nonprofit broadcasters. Here, all I can find for KNLY is a studio waiver -- and for some reason the actual written authorization document is not available to the public. Hmmm...
