I was gonna mention this before, but I really dont want to get anyone into trouble, its been going on since about October of 2008........ The station calls itself mystery fm and plays Non Stop Techno-Dance-Club music 24-7.... the station has Imaging and sweepers and all that stuff, but ive never heard any Jocks. The station while driving up and down Hi way 37 has a really strong signal in Martinsville, and it fades out up by stop 11 right on the Marion county Line, and going south it makes it into the North Side og Bloomington till you get to that huge hill right passed the gas station as you go into that Holler where you exit off to College Avenue,,, A normal person would change the station by then, but it actually hangs on and fringes into downtown Bloomington, but not really disernable. I used to hear it all the way up to the 465 exit up by all the truckstops before Warm 93.9 stomped it out, and it didnt used to go as far east or south, but I think they may have a Directional Array pointed south east to protect Warm 93.9,, The signal makes it all the way out to US 31, and hangs on almost to Columbus in that Direction, but it cant get passed the 50kw Columbus Towers on I 65,,, it fades out and never recovers at that point... Its really hard to pinpoint exactly where it is because of the huge area it covers,, It seems strongest in Martinsville near the Walmart and highschool, but the Signal Bubble just doesnt add up if its in Martinsville,, Can a pirate bye or make a Directional Antenna, and how much power and height would it take to get out that far, ,, its far more powerful than a translater or a LPFM.... On sundays during the day, they air all religious programing, and sunday night, they air some automated oldies format called 100 percent Nostalgia, which plays music from the 50s to the early 80s,,, but the sunday preachers, and the automated British Jock that does the sunday night Oldies is the only time announcers are heard,,, Monday through saturday its 24 hrs back to back Dance-Techno music.. I have heard them off air a few times, but they are mostly pushing it 24/7,, I wonder what kind of Antenna and how much power they are using... They do air PSAs ,, but no paid comercials... Is it possible that this is a legal LPFM,,,,, it sounds very polished to just be an automated jukebox. BOB on the JOB,,, why dont you point your antenna this way and see if you can get it to come in. Two more things,, they also air the EAS systems, and Amber alerts, which makes me wonder if they are really legal, or are they just trying to serve their community as a Hobby... There are no adds,,, and a setup like this would be expensive,,, I wouldnt put something that powerful on air and do all that work just to get the FCC to confinscate it and throw me a 10 grand fine.
