Legal or not, pirates are fun. They may come and go, but they're here to stay, no matter how draconian the penalties are.......
Listeners in general don't care who's legal or not on the radio. If it's an alternative to the status quo (and a decent enough signal), they'll always give it a shot....
An interest comment from someone who's always complaining about "bad corporate radio".
Why not put your own pirate on, Larry? With those brilliant programming strategies of yours maybe you can take down the big, bad corporations since "listeners in general don't care who's legal or not".
Uh-huh. Like we'll actually see THAT happen.
Every time I talk to people like you on this board who ask me that, why do I get the feeling I'm being called out to race my '68 GTO against a 1925 Model T?
Uh-huh, like I actually would even bother taking on any dares from "experts" like yourself in an industry that's gone the way of the C-60 analog audio cassette.
No matter how you try and twist the story Grandma, it's hard not to watch the firings, cutbacks and fake Viagra commercials while you're all busy crowing about commercial radio's "golden new age". Why suffer THAT? You people can't even put anything decent on a damn HD subchannel! And I'm supposed to take a dare from people like YOU?
At least I have room to move and greener pastures where I'm at today.....
Here's a proposition for YOU: Convince every kid to give up his/her iPod, web streams, YouTube and Facebook and go back to crappy old formula radio and yeah, I'll take you on. Meanwhile, if you'll excuse me I'll go back to the far more entertaining world of MODERN media. WHERE THE PEOPLE ARE. WHERE THE MONEY AND HOPE IS
But until then, corporate radio experts can unzip my fly and suck it. It's a new damn age alright. And your thanks to all you "experts", commercial radio is an increasingly unecessary, and may I say OBSOLETE part of it.
And why the hell would I even BOTHER with THAT?
